Pressing Strings was formed in between 2006-07 as a duo with former member Joshua Kachura.  Since Kachura's departure in 2012 Jordan Sokel has been the driving force behind the project and Pressing Strings has become the main vehicle for Sokel's musical output.  Current members include longtime bassist Nick Welker and drummer Justin Kruger.
